Back to memory lanes... via Varanasi!!

I came Mumbai on 2nd October1996 via Banaras; accidentally actually.

One fine morning (actually very bad, emotionally), while was going to my then news weekly office near to Sakchi, I've finally decided to go (come) Mumbai. It was 3rd Sept. 1996.

And when one of my poet friend Rakesh, somehow, heard about it he came to meet me at my office located at Sakchi Road (its call Kalimati Road, I guess). Was working for a news weekly, under the Editor Jagdesh Ji,  who used to be A VERY DEAR PERSON to me! Rakesh asked me to join them for a 5 day program somewhere in MP. I went. It was17th Sept the same year when I left Jamshedpur.... After the program, he asked me again to join him to go Banaras as he was studying in BHU those days, saying emotionally, "tum bombay ja raha hai, pata nahin fir kab milna hoga, chalo kuch din Banaras rah lo...." No prizes for guessing: I 'obliged' him, obviously! (he he..). And we've had a lot of Ghumna-firana in Banaras. The most memorable thing I experienced there was an evening at Ganaga ghat.... Wo shaam, apne saare drishyon aur anubhutiyon ke sath mere zehn mein freeze ho gayi thi jaise (that evening, with all its landscapes & moments, got frozen in my memory)...and after a year or so, in Mumbai, I've completed that poem "Majhi re naav badhao, Majhi re..." that has started that very evening at a Ganga ghat in Banaras.

Now, its 2012. I'm going to be baptized  as soon as possible!

I've had some very close and spiritually so enriching  experiences of  Jesus Christ's love for me and for all the human race. He was the Word Incarnate, The Only Son of The Father God Almighty! He came down on earth to save all of us from the death of sin; and to give us Moksha or  Eternal Life to all the mankind who believes in him!

Yesterday, however, I was just searching on net for some Catholic cultural group and I went through "Nav Sadhana" a dance school under the Diocese of Varanasi (http://www.dioceseofvaranasi.org/index.html). And I just could not help myself but to think if there is any Diocese in Jamshedpur too...! I find St. Joseph’s Cathedral  there in Jamshedpur on net.

And, to my bigger surprise, in a process of finding the exact location of St. Joseph’s Cathedral on Google Maps (http://maps.google.com/), I just can't resist myself to see my childhood place-  Telco Colony- on the Google satellite Map! And... It was like revisiting the long forgotten my own past... like watching a film of my own childhood... I felt like, it's not a matter of years but just of the passing day, of the yesterday

I had never visited my past this way before... I've never had a 'tendency' of looking back with 'a lot of affection & emotions'...  I never ever though that I, really, love those places that much... even today!!

O My Jesus! What haveYou  kept stored for me for the future....
